Srinagar, April 21: After remaining closed for more than a day, Jammu-Srinagar highway, the only surface link connecting Kashmir with outside world, shall reopen for one-way traffic on Thursday for one-way traffic.

“Tomorrow  (April 21), subject to fair weather and better road condition, LMVs (Passenger) shall be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar  on Jammu-Srinagar highway,” a traffic department official said in a statement to GNS. “Commuters are advised not to travel on Jammu-Srinagar highway without confirming the status of road from TCU Jammu/ Ramban/Srinagar in view of inclement weather prediction issued by Met department upto 22-04-2021.”
