J&K Reports 461 Covid-19 Cases, 4 Deaths

Srinagar, April 1: Covid-19 infections recorded in a single day this year hit a new high as Jammu and Kashmir reported 461 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.
Among the fresh cases, they said, Jammu division reported 100 cases and Kashmir 361, taking the J&K’s overall infection count to 131421.
Also, four more persons died due to the virus, one from Jammu division and three from Kashmir Valley, taking the total toll to 1998—737 in Jammu region and 1262 in Kashmir.
This is for the first time that 400-mark was breached in a single day this year. Also, it was for the seventeenth consecutive day that more than 100 cases were reported on a single day in J&K. In all, nearly around 3600 cases were added to the tally during the time, they said.
Providing district wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 157 cases, Baramulla 76,
Budgam 26, Pulwama 10, Kupwara 10, Anantnag 19, Bandipora 5, Ganderbal 6, Kulgam 49, Shopian 3, Jammu 61, Udhampur 4, Rajouri 4, Doda 1, Kathua 21, Samba 6, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 3, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.
A number of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories of CD hospital and GMC Anantnag.
The CD cases include female (18) from Mehjoor Nagar, female (32) from Bemina, two males (19, 31) from Kawdara, male (29) from Zainakadal, female (25) from Kanil Bagh, male (14) from IMI Ratnipora, two males (53, 32) from BB Cantt Srg, male (50) from Bemina, male (47) from Soura, male (50) and female (55) from Srinagar, male (60) from Mehjoor Nagar, female (85) from NA, male (74) from Baramulla, female (30) from Pulwama, male (21) from Anantnag, male (12) from Gurez, two males (36, 86) and female (75) from Nowgam, male (23) from Mehjoor Nagar, female (75) from Ahmadnagar, female (58) from Peerbagh, female (50) from Mehjoor Nagar, male (96) from Pune, male (70) and female (40) from Mattan, two males (41, 39) from Alamgiri Bazar, male (11) from Srinagar, male (46) from HMT, male (52) from Rawalpora, male (30) from Tangmarg Baramulla, male (70) from Handwara, female (09) from Bemina, male (89) from Bemina Srg, female (76) from Bemina Srinagar.
The SKIMS cases include include two males (39, 06) from Chattabugh, male (30) from Hajibagh, female (15) from Badipora, male (35) from Hardu Latina Beerwah, male (37) from Ms Zabigul, female (32) from Sanoor Kalipora Soibugh Budgam, female (32) from Umerabad Peerbagh, male (38) from Wazabagh Hyderpora, female (52) from Rawalpora, male (35) and female (36) from Lalbazar, female (56) from Nowgam, two males (11, 20) from Ninenty, male (32) from Skims, male (50) and female (25) from Rainawari, male (55) from Indranagar, male (32) from Zaldagar, male (70) from Khajabagh, female (75) from Peerbagh, female (75) from Lalbazar, male (60) from Nowshera, male (52) from HMT, female (65) from Badamwari, male (65) from Tangpora, male (83) from Gupkar Road Srinagar, male (42) from 132 battalion CRPF Sanat Nagar Srg, two males (44, 37) from 29 battalion CRPF Rawalpora Srinagar, male (27) from Yangoora Ganderbal, male (38) from Bandipora, male (60) and female (55) from Hajin Bandipora and male (71) from Ganika Doda.
The GMC Anantnag cases include male (21) from Tashloo, male (33) from Sheikhpora Sallar, female (28) from New Qazibagh, male (60) from Damjan, two males (60, 70) from Noorabad, female (70) from Iqbalabad.
Moreover, they said, 114 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—36 from Jammu Division and 78 from Kashmir Division. There are 2874 covid-19 active cases—724 in Jammu division and 2150 in Kashmir. 126549 people have recovered so far in the J&K, they added.
