140 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, 1 Death Reported In J&K

Srinagar, March 20: Jammu and Kashmir reported 140 fresh covid-19 cases, including 29 travelers, while one more person succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.

Among the fresh cases, 25 cases were from Jammu Division and 115 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total case tally to 128389, the officials said.

Giving district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 73 cases, Baramulla 14, Budgam 18, Pulwama 2, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 3, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 0, Kulgam 0, Shopian 2, Jammu 22, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 0, Doda 0,  Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0and Reasi 0.

A number of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories of CD hospital and GMC Anantnag, they said.

The CD cases include male (65) from Hawal, male (73) from Naikbagh, five males (21, 80, 21, 18, 48) and four females (65, 46, 50, 18) from Batmaloo, male (49) from Chanapora, female (22) from Alochibagh, male (60) from Humhama, female (34) from Nowshera, female (45) from Khanyar, female (36) from Pinglena, male (19) from Drabgam, female (65) from Dalipora, female (38) from Awantipora, female (55) from Qamarwari, female (10) from B B Shah, female (18) from Gurvait, female (55) from Pahalgam, male (55) from Khayam Srg, female (80) from Budgam. The GMC Anantnag cases include male (40) from Nipora.

Moreover 100 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—30 from Jammu Division and 70 from Kashmir Valley. The COVID-19 death has been reported from Kashmir Valley, taking the fatality count to 1980—732 in Jammu and 1248 in the Valley.

So far, they said, 125218 have recovered—51353 in Kashmir and 73865 in Jammu. There are 1191 active cases—263 in Jammu and 928 in Kashmir.
