256 Covid-19 Cases, 1 Death In J&K

Srinagar, Jan 1: Seventeen travelers were among 256 new positive cases reported in the last 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Friday. Also, one more person succumbed to the virus during the time, and the victim belonged to Jammu, they said.
Among the fresh cases, they said, 106 were reported from Jammu Division and 150 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 121227.
Giving district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 61 cases, Baramulla 10,
Budgam 14, Kupwara 6, Pulwama 26, Anantnag 6, Bandipora 5, Ganderbal 11, Kulgam 2, Shopian 9, Jammu 72, Udhampur 7, Rajouri 2, Doda 2, Kathua 3, Kishtwar 1, Samba 14, Poonch 1, Ramban 0 and Reasi 4.
Moreover, they said, 248 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 116 from Jammu Division and 132 from Kashmir Valley.
