Anantnag, Dec 22: The heating system in district hospital Anantnag stopped working after a fire in the central heating shed on Tuesday.
Medical Superintendent (MS) GMC Anantnag Dr Iqbal Sofi said that there was some cylinder blast in the shed housing the heating system for the district hospital. “While the shed situated outside the hospital has suffered damage in the fire, the heating system in the hospital has stopped.”
He said that there was no damage elsewhere in the hospital as the shed lies on the rare side of the hospital. While the repair work may take some times, the hospital administration will have to take immediate measures for alternative heating system amid the severe cold weather conditions.
