2 RDD employees suspended in Doda

Action also initiated against 4 VDC members
Doda: District Election Authority Doda has suspended two government employees and initiated action against 4 Village Defence Committee (VDC) members for violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
Additional District Development Commissioner, – the Nodal officer for MCC implementation suspended two RDD employees, served show cause notice to Lumbardar, one BDC Chairman and one contesting candidate, besides initiated action against 4 VDC members for violation of Model Code of Conduct guidelines.
As per the separate orders, the ADDC has attached the suspended employees with immediate effect and directions have been passed to their concerned DDOs to stop their salary.
Besides, the inquiry officers have been designated and directed to conduct detailed inquiry and submit the report within seven days.
Similarly, one BDC chairman and contesting candidate has been asked to explain their position for campaigning during the prohibited period of 48 hours before polls.
Likewise, action has been initiated against four VDC members who are found involved in election campaign for a particular political party.
District Panchayat Election Officer, Dr Sagar D Doifode has reiterated upon all the government employees working under District Administration Doda to refrain from indulging in any kind of political activity during ongoing DDC/ Panchayat Bye elections to avoid disciplinary action. Besides, he directed all the employees of the district to adhere to the guidelines of MCC in letter and spirit to ensure smooth, free and fair DDC/ panchayat bye elections in the district.
