Gunfight rages in Pulwama

Srinagar, Sept 04: A gunfight between militants and government forces is going on in Babhoora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama on Friday.
According to the reports, a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Babhoora.
As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.
“Police and security forces are on the job. Further details will be shared as they emerge,” the officials said.
A gunfight is already underway in Pattan area of north Kashmir where one militant has been killed while army major and a policemen have been injured.
