507 new covid-19 cases in J&K, tally nears 25000

Srinagar, August 9: Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday reported 507 new covid-19 cases including 64 travelers, taking the total tally to 24897.
Among them, 129 were from Jammu Division and 378 from Kashmir valley, officials said.
Giving district-wise breakup of the cases, they said, Srinagar reported 155 cases, Baramulla 44,
Pulwama 22, Kulgam 15, Shopian 6, Anantnag 32, Budgam 10, Kupwara 26, Bandipora 50, Ganderbal 18,
Jammu 42, Rajouri 2, Ramban 13, Kathua 5, Udhampur 4, Samba 32, Doda 9, Poonch 10 and Reasi 12.
In Kashmir, Srinagar tops the list with 6155 cases followed by Baramulla with 2137, Pulwama 1829, Kulgam 1609, Budgam 1533, Shopian 1520, Anantnag 1553, Kupwara 1256, Bandipora 1022 and Ganderbal 672.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has 1555 cases, Rajouri 758, Ramban 589, Kathua 594, Udhampur 623, Samba 517, Doda 311, Poonch 275, Reasi 226 and Kishtwar 163.
Meanwhile 336 more COVID-19 patients— 74 from Jammu Division and 262 from valley—have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals, they added. said
