Pahari Forum Demands Withdrawal Of Bar On Reservation Certificate

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Pahari Forum is a completely apolitical and non-partisan organization that only speaks for the welfare of Pahari speaking people. “Recently a teleconference was held wherein serious concern was expressed at the problems facing the commonality including lack of job opportunities provided to the educated Pahari spoken youth across Jammu and Kashmir,” they said. organization said in a statement.
“A resolution was passed and it was impressed upon the government to take immediate measures to address the issues facing the community. Among others they demanded that the bar put on for Pahari Reservation Certificate be withdrawn immediately, ten kilograms each rice and Ata (flour) and 2kg edible oil should be provided free to every household while free healthcare facilities should be provided,” the organization said.
Meanwhile, chief spokesman of Pahari Forum Mohammad Rafiq Shah expressed gratitude to advocare Murtaza Khan and advocate Mohammad Rashid Qureshi for filing a writ petition against sinister designs as regards 4% reservation to Pahari speaking people.
