Srinagar: Amid ongoing lockdown aimed to prevent the spread of coronavirus, many police officers have been found extending help to the people in need in Kashmir Valley. One such officer is Station House Officer who is at the forefront to help those in need due to the crisis triggered by the COVID-19 situation.
Reports said that the officer, Gowher Ahmad, has been reaching out to people including those living in the interior of the area under the jurisdiction of police station Nigeen. “The area comprises an overwhelming number of the people from the poorest strata of our society and as such he has been making all efforts to reach out to them with every bit of help possible in the present circumstances,” a local resident said.
Besides, he has been seen at ensuring people maintain social distancing at ration depots as well as other locations.
