Ganderbal: Four ‘chronic thieves’ have been arrested by police in Ganderbal district of Central Kashmir and recovered the stolen items from their possession. Police busted the gang while working on a vehicle theft complaint from Safapora area of the district, a police officer said. Following leads, he said, one person namely Kaiser Ahmad Parray son of Nazir Ahmad Parray, resident of Asham Bandipora admitted his participation in theft cases and he also revealed other three accomplices namely Riyaz Ahmad Parra son of Ghulam Nabi Parra, resident of Bhat Mohalla Sumbal Pervaiz Ahmad Ganie Son of Ghulam Muhammad Ganie, resident of Wakura Ganderbal Suhail Ahmad Tantary son of Mohammad Yousf Tantary,resident of Wakura Ganderbal. “All four thieves have been arrested,” the police officer said. On the disclosure of accused persons the one Swift bearing registration number DL-3CBC-0368, (02) one Van bearing registration number JK-01E-1430, (03) one Alto bearing registration number JK-16-5652 and (04) one Scooty bearing registration number JK-01S-9514, (05) Mobile phones 06 Numbers and (06) cash worth RS 15000 have been recovered and more recoveries are expected, the officer added.
