Srinagar: Scores of public parks located in Srinagar City are craving for the maintenance as the authorities concerned have failed to take proper care of these parks.

The residents of Gadood Bagh area of Habba Kadal, Baba Demb area of Fateh Kadal, and main Fateh Kadal are up in arms against the concerned department for ‘failing to maintain the local park in their area’.

Talking to The INS that authorities have failed to maintain the parks while some say that the work started to maintain the parks was left midway.

The parks in the congested areas were very useful to them but the authorities have left them to face hardships, they said, adding that “we are facing tremendous hardships while the administration is paying no heed over the sufferings of locals in the area.”

They said that they approached to the higher ups of the department but unfortunately nothing has been done in this regard.

The residents later appealed the higher ups including concerned Director to redress their genuine grievances at earliest.
