Pulwama: Pulwama youth has bought laurels to his village for securing his name among the top scorers in the recently declared results ofNational Eligibility Cum Entrance Test.

Kamran Imtiyaz S/O Imtiyaz Ahmad Ganai, 18, hails from Chersoo village of Awantipora area has grabbed 623 points.

Kamran has given all credits of his success to his maternal grandparents and said that they have been the one who pushed him to limits and gave him hope.

“I lost my father when I was 4. Since then my maternal grandparents, Ab Rashid Reshi and Mother Farooqa Rashid, have been guiding me,” Kamran said.

Kamran said that his success is an achievement for his widow mother, who despite facing many odds educated him.

He said that it was his dream to be a doctor and last years less points got him selected for BVSC but now with better score he will be pursuing MBBS.
