Srinagar: A soldier drowned in Kishanganga river along Line of Control in Gurez sector in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, officials said on Sunday.
They said Sepoy Sabrinath of 51 Rashtriya Rifles slipped into the river near Hussangam Tulail in Gurez while patrolling the LoC last night.
The other soldiers tried to rescue him but to no avail, they said. “Special divers have been rushed to trace out the missing soldier,” they said.
