Vigilance Org raids J&K Bank HQ, ex CEO Parvez Ahmad’s chamber being searched

Srinagar: Slueths of Vigilance Organisation are conducting raid at the former CEO of J&K Bank Parvez Ahmad Nengroo’s office following governments order to sack him.

Multiple sources told INS that the sleuths of VO have taken over the Nengroo’s office and raid is underway.

They however did not confide as to what they are investigating.

“The bank Head quarter has been taken over by the VO and police is also present at the place, ” they said.

The development comes hours after tge Jammu and Kashmir Government removed Nengroo from the Board of Directors of the bank.

An order issued by the Additional Secretary Government, Finance Department Vishal Sharma reads: “Mr Pervez Ahmad, Chairman cum Managing Director shall cease to be director on the Board of Directors of the Bank and consequently be no longer the Chairman cum Managing Director of the Board.”

The order further said that RK Chhibber has been nominated as the Director on the board and may be further appointed as the interim chairman cum Managing Director of the board.
