Encounter rages in Pulwama village

Srinagar: A gunfight broke out in Dalipora area of Pulwama in south Kashmir on Thursday pre-dawn hours.

It is third such predawn encounter since the commencement of holy month of Ramadan.

A joint team of army and SOG cordoned off Dalipora area near police station Pulwama following specific information about the presence of some militants in the area.

As such the joint team of forces intensified the searches, the militants opened fire leading to an encounter.
