Ramadan moon not sighted, first day of fasting from Tuesday

Srinagar: The Ramadan moon was not sighted in India or Pakistan on Sunday, hence first day of the fasting will be on Tuesday.
Reports said that a meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held under the chairmanship of Mufti Muneeb at the Karachi Met Office today to decide the start of the holy month.
Talking to media, Mufti Muneeb said after gathering information from all the offices it has been confirmed that no evidence of moon sighting was received from Pakistan.
Syed Ahmad Bikhari, Shahi Imam and president Ruet-e-Hilal Committee New Delhi also announced that there was no evidence regarding the sighting of moon and hence the first day of the fasting will be from Tuesday.
