Thousands of people have assembled at Soura residence of Eesa Fazili, the militant killed in encounter with Government forces in Islamabad.

Srinagar: Shutdown is being observed in Soura area of Srinagar on the death anniversary of Esa Fazili, a militant killed last year in a gunbattle with government forces.

According to locals all the shops, business establishments and schools in the area are closed.

They said that shutdown is being observed in several areas of Ahmad Nagar, Soura .

Esa Fazili, a Btech student before turning into a militant and was reportedly affiliated with ISJK outfit.

Fazili was killed along with two associates in a gunfight with the government forces in Hakoora area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district last year.
