Ten days after banning Jamat e Islami, Government seals party’s headquarter in Batamaloo

Srinagar: After ten days of declaring Jamat e Islami Jammu and Kashmir an ‘unlawfull organisation’ Government sealed the headquarters of the socio religious party at Batamaloo, Srinagar on Thursday.

According to sources a large contingent of forces arrived at the place and entered JEI’s office and sealed it.

JeI was banned by the government of India for allegedly supporting militancy, separatists, and to carve out an Islamic state out of Government established by law.

More than 200 activists of JeI has been arrested so far.
