Trooper wounded in grenade attack

Anantnag: Suspected militants lobbed a grenade on paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, in which a trooper was wounded.
The grenade according to an official was lobbed on a naka party of police and CRPF near Grid Station in the town.
The injured trooper who has been identified as Rajinder Singh was shifted to a hospital for treatment, he said.
The injured trooper belongs to 18 Battalion CRPF. Reports said that a pedestrian was allegedly arrested shortly after the attack and was thrashed inside the CRPF camp. He was reportedly saved by a police officer. Reports added that a driver was also thrashed by the CRPF troopers after the attack. (CNS)
