Awantipora : Inhabitants of Check village in Tral sub district on Tuesday morning staged a protest against public health engineering department decrying severe water crisis in the area.
The protesters assembled on Tral-Awantipora road at Check village near Midoora crossing and blamed concerned authorities for failing to mitigate water crisis “despite back to back requests” from locals.
While raising slogans against the public health engineering department officials, the locals said that they are “being forced to fetch water from long distances with no intervention from the said officials”
