Advisor Sharma visits AIIMS site at Vijaypur, inspects arrangements

Jammu: Advisor to Governor, Kewal Kumar Sharma today visited AIIMS site at Vijaypur and inspected the arrangements being made for the Prime Minister’s visit for laying foundation stone of the prestigious project.
Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Sushma Chouhan, Chief Engineer, R&B, Sudhir Shah, Chief Engineer, PHE Ashok Gandotra besides senior Police Officers and other concerned officers accompanied the Advisor during the visit.
The Advisor inspected the pace of the on-going work and other related aspects of the mega event.
While taking stock of the activity wise arrangements, the Advisor enquired about the completion and decoration of different stages, drinking water and power supply, seating arrangements for general public and VIPs, medical facilities, sanitation, parking arrangements, installation of heating devices, LEDs and CCTVs, media stand, backstage, green room, Governor’s room and alike.
The Advisor had a briefing on the road connectivity to the project site as well as road condition from Helipad to the Main stage.
The Advisor also discussed the security issues and deployment of police personnel besides construction of entry gate and barricading.
The Advisor stressed upon the concerned departments and executing agencies to make sure that all necessary arrangements are made in advance. He instructed them to make requisite arrangements taking weather forecast into consideration.
He further asked them to work in close coordination for the successful conduct of PM’s visit.
The Divisional Commissioner also briefed the Advisor about the status of rehabilitation of relocated families.
