Justice Massodi for making juvenile justice a reality

Jammu: Chairperson Selection-cum-Oversight Committee (SCOC) Justice (Retd) Hasnain Massodi today convened a meeting of members of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working for the welfare of child rights in Jammu Division.

The meeting was convened for supplementing Child Rights activities in the Division. State Mission Director, ICPS G.A Sofi, Member SCOC Rajiv Khajuria and other officers of ICPS Directorate were also present on the occasion.

CSOs briefed the house on the activities undertaken by them regarding child rights and child protection.

Justice Massodi in his presidential address stressed the need of encouraging inter-sectoral linkages for making Juvenile Justice a reality on the ground.

He asked State Mission Director, ICPS to float a proposal for establishing a Shelter Home and two Child Care Institutions for Katra. He assured full co-operation of ICPS/ Juvenile Justice Panel to CSOs working in the field of child protection. (file picture or illustration )
