Govt seeks list of Jammu Central Cooperative Bank defaulters

Jammu: Principal Secretary Finance, Navin Choudhary today reviewed the functioning of Jammu Central Cooperative Bank (JCCB) here at a meeting with Board of Directors of the Bank.
While reviewing the Credit Portfolio of the Bank, Finance Secretary, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jammu Central Cooperative Bank, was informed that 365 State Government Employees of various departments have in the past availed various kinds of loans from the Bank and despite several notices they failed to repay principal as well as interest amount.
The meeting decided that list of the willful defaulter Government Employees be submitted to the GAD for appropriate orders in this regard.
The Chairman also directed the management to immediately upload the details of these 365 State Government employees on its website.
Finance Secretary also advised the J&K Bank, which is the Convener of the SLBC, to put together the list of the State Government Employees who are defaulters of the J&K Bank and other Commercial Banks.
