Tral: A complete shutdown is being observed on fourth consecutive day on Sunday in Tral area of South Kashmir against the killing of three militants in an encounter with government forces at Gulshanpora forests on Thursday.
All the shops and business establishments are closed in the area while public transport is off the roads.
Three militants namely Shakoor Ahmad Parray of Laribal Tral, Zubair Ahmad of Sail, and Tauseef Ahmad of Chersoo Awantipora, were killed in the gunfight.
Meanwhile, large number of people from different areas continued to visit the houses of slain militants and offered prayers for them.
On Saturday, another encounter raged in Aripal amid snowfall, which continued for full day and ended with militant escape. A two-storey residential house was completely destroyed by government forces and a paramilitary CRPF man was injured.
