Army Commander meets Governor, briefs him about security in J&K

Jammu: Lt. Gen. Ranbir Singh, Northern Army Commander, met Governor Satya Pal Malik, at the Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday.
Lt. Gen Singh briefed Governor about the prevailing security situation along the forward areas and the hinterland, operational preparedness of the Army for anti-militancy activities and measures being taken for ensuring safety and security of people living along the LoC and IB, a Rajbhavan spokesman said.
Lauding the ‘professionalism’ of Army, Governor emphasised sharp vigil along the Line of Control and IB and maintenance of high ethical standards during discharge of duties.
