Sringar: Four policemen whose rifles were looted from the residence of a senior Congress leader in Srinagar were dismissed from the service dereliction of duty and unauthorised absence on Monday.

“Four Police Personnel who were deployed as PSOs with Mohammed Muzzafar Parray, MLC, have been dismissed from service for dereliction of duties and unauthorized absence,” PRO Police, Manoj told INS.

They were stationed at Parray’s official residence (quarter number J-37) at Jawahar Nagar.

After the weapon looting incident all the four policemen, three from the security wing and one from district police lines Sopore, were detained for questioning.
