Casual Labourers of PHE department without salaries for 2 years, protest in Srinagar

Srinagar:The casual labourers of Public Health Engineering department Monday held a protest demonstration in Srinagar demanding release of their pending wages.

Scores of protesting employees assembled in press enclave and chanted slogans against the Public Health Engineering Department.

The protesters said that they have not been paid for past several months.

President of the union, Fayaz Ahmad Malik said that from last 23 months our wages are still pending with the department.

“We want release of our long pending wages as soon as possible. We are facing financial problems due to which the studies of our children have affected.”

The protesters requested Governor Satya Pal Malik to look into the matter.
