Militant hideout busted in Ganderbal woods, arms and ammunition recovered

Ganderbal: Ganderbal police during a joint search operation with 5 RR traced out hideout of militants and recovered arms and ammunition in Gutlibagh woods.

A police officail said that based upon a speciflc information a search operation by District Police Ganderbal along with 5 RR was launched in Forest area of Badurkund, Gutlibagh area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

During this course a hide out of militants has been busted . From the hideout the following Arms/Ammunition and other usable articles have been recovered;

1. INSAS Riffle 01No.

2. Magazines 04Nos.

3. INSAS live 80Rounds

4. AK47 37 Rounds

5. Chinese Grenade 01No.

6. 01 Set of utensils and blankets.

“The riffle so recovered appears to have been snatched by the militants from government forces,” an official said.
