Army tells police it didn’t fire on Budgam youth

Budagm : Police on Friday said that army has stated that it did not open fire on a 28-year-old youth, admitted in critical condition at SMHS hospital in Srinagar.

“Police contacted army and was told that soldiers were patrolling in the area and heard some firing. Later they found youth in critical conditions,” SSP Budgam Tejinder Singh told GNS.

Ishfaq Ahmad Ganie (28) son of Nazir Ahmad Ganie of Magraypora Khanda was critically injured in firing outside an army camp at Chattergam in central Kashmir’s Budgam district. Ishfaq , a carpenter by profession, was shifted to SHMS.
