NCB recovers 50 kgs of Heroin from truck in Jammu, one arrested

Jammu: Narcotics Control Bureau, Jammu Zone, has claimed that they have recovered 50 kg of heroin from a truck at Toll Plaza near Jammu on highway.

According to Narcotics Control Bureau, they intercepted Apple laden trucks and during unloading of one truck ‘three wooden apple boxes were found in which 50 packets of heroin have been concealed’.

“NCB, Jammu zone thus effected major seizure of 50.120kg of heroin on 6.11.2018 from an apple laden truck and arrested 1 person, resident of district Kupwara,” NCB said in a statement.

The NCB said that it is the third biggest seizure of heroin of the current year in India by any agency.

They biggest heroin seizure of this year was also effected by NCB Jammu Zone only.

NCB is strengthening its Jammu Zone and Chandigarh Zone and these big seizures are a result of NCB initiatives in North West India.

The truck according to the NCB was destined for Delhi.
