After snowfall, freezing sub-zero night in Valley: Minus 5 Deg Cel In Gulamarg, Minus 0.4 Deg Cel in Srinagar

Srinagar: Sub-zero temperatures were recorded in most parts of Kashmir, a day after snowfall in the Valley.
The night temperature across the Valley settled below freezing point last night except for Qazigund, an official of the Meteorological department said.
The official said Srinagar, the summer capital of J&K, recorded a minimum temperature of minus 0.4 degrees, nearly three degrees Celsius below from what is normal for this time of the year while the famous ski-resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir had a low of minus 5 degrees Celsius.
The mercury in Qazigund and Kokernag towns in south Kashmir settled at a low of 0.2 degrees Celsius and minus 0.7 degrees respectively, he said.
Pahalgam, the world famous tourist resort in south Kashmir had a minimum of minus 0.5 degree Celsius while Kupwara town in north Kashmir gauged a low of minus 0.6 degrees Celsius.
