TRAL : A touching example of religious harmony was at its display at Hari-Parigam village of Tral area in Pulwama district, as Muslims residing in the village extended a helping hand to the people of Kashmiri Pandit community by assisting them in reconstructing a temple (Mandir).
“Members of Muslim community were also part of the discussions about the construction process, which started a day ago,” locals said.
“We are very happy that our Muslims brothers are standing by our side. We live like brothers here,” a pandit Makhan Lal said.
Farooq Ahmad, a resident told INS that they have joined to reconstruction work as Pandits are part of the society and ‘as a society we need to help each other”.
“We have been living like a family here so today our family members needed our help and we are here. We don’t see this as something extra ordinary,” locals said.
According to Ramesh Bhatt the reconstruction of temple was possible only ‘when Muslims brothers were here to support.’
“I wish to see back all other pandits here,” a local Mohammad Amin said.
