7 Soldiers Injured In Pulwama IED Blast

Srinagar: Seven soldiers were injured and a Casper vehicle they were travelling in was damaged in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast triggered by militants in Lassipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
A police official said that around 9:45 p.m., militants triggered the IED planted under a bridge on Trichal-Lassipora road.
The officer said that seven soldiers of 755 Rashtriya Rifles were injured in the blast and among them, three seriously wounded were airlifted to army’s 92 base hospital while four others were taken to a nearby military health facility.
Meanwhile, Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant out has claimed responsibility for the IED attack at Lasipora.
In a statement issued to local news agency GNS, the JeM spokesman claimed that three army men were killed and seven others were injured while as army’s mobile bunker vehicle was completely damaged.
