After Srinagar, firecrackers banned in Shopian

DC Srinagar orders blanket ban on sale, bursting of firecrackers

Shopian: After Srinagar, authorities have imposed ban on the sale and bursting of firecrackers within the territorial jurisdiction of district Shopian.
The order has been issued by Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Owais Ahmad to ensure the safety of life and property of the general public, an official spokesman said.
“It has been further stated that anybody found involved in the sale and bursting of fire crackers shall be booked within the purview of the relevant law.”
