Civilian, militant, army man killed in seperate gunfights, encounter rages in a mosque in Budgam

Srinagar: Three persons including a militant, an army man and a civilian has been killed in two separate anti militancy operation launched by government forces in Qazigund Islamabad and Noorbagh Srinagar. While a gunfight is raging in a mosque in Panzan Budgam.
A civilian was killed in Srinagar, was identified as Mohammad Saleem Malik (26) son of Mohammad Yaqoob Malik, resident of Noorbagh area of Srinagar, after government forces launched CASO in the area.
Massive clashes are underway in the area and forces have resorted to tear gas shelling to disperse the swelling crowd while curfew like restrictions have been imposed in several areas.
In another encounter a militant was killed during a gunfight with government forces in Gazigund village of Doora area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, sources said on Thursday.
Sources said that an army soldier was also killed in the gunfight.
In another gunbattle two to three militants, according to sources, are trapped in a jamia masjid Panzan Budgam.
Intermitted gunfire is being exchanged.
Locals said that the people from nearby villages are coming towards the gunfight site.
Internet remains suspended in these areas.
