Srinagar: Terming Indian leaders and its collaborators responsible for the killing spree in Kashmir, the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Saturday said the ruling class wants instead of resolving the core issue wants to suppress people with the might of 8 lakh forces.
“The ruling class is responsible for the prevailing uncertainty in Jammu Kashmir,” Shah said in a statement to KNS, adding that authorities have waged a war against the people and is backed by some elements of Indian media who are continuing with their anti-Kashmir propaganda.
Shah said India’s former Air Marshall, Army Chief Bipin Rawat, Rajnath Singh, Ram Madhav, Amit Shah and others are issuing provocative statements on daily basis and are trying to test our sentiments. He said New Delhi should instead resolve the basic issue which would ultimately be in its own favour.
“Though we have been witnessing the oppression by Indian occupational forces for the last 70 years but now the state-sponsored terrorism is crossing limits,” he said.
Shah said the situation indicates that India and its collaborators have decided to do launch a strong campaign after Eid-ul-Fitr and we have to be ready to face them. “We also appeal to international community to take serious note of the situation in Jammu Kashmir. If the world bodies fail to protect Kashmiris from Indian oppression, New Delhi would start wiping out the whole population in the state,” he said and urged Pakistan, its people, and parties to intensify its efforts of highlighting the plight of Kashmiris across the world. He also appealed the international media to play their part in this regard.
Meanwhile, Shah expressed grief over the martyrdom of brave-hearts (Shaheed Junaid Mattoo, Shaheed Nasir Wani, and Shaheed Adil Mushtaq Mir) in Arwani encounter and civilians (Mohammad Ashraf and Ahsan Mushtaq) and injuring of dozens.
Condemning the forces’ action, Shah said to protest in favour of brave-hearts is not a crime and India should read writing on the wall that every child of Kashmir supports the mission of ‘mujahideen’.
Paying glowing tributes to all the martyrs, Shah expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved families and reiterated his pledge of taking forward the mission of martyrs to its logic conclusion.
The DFP chairman also expressed sorrow over the martyrdom of a youth Nazir Ahmad in Rangret and said after peacefully protesting, people were returning to their homes but SSB personnel without any provocation opened fire and killed a person.
Shah said the pro-freedom spirit of the people is a valuable asset for the freedom movement and has unnerved India and its policy makers who are now resorting to violent methods to break our resolve. “Need of the hour is to exhibit patience, steadfastness and show resilience. In Sha Allah, we will succeed,” he said.
On the directions of Shabir Ahmad Shah, several delegations visited various places of south Kashmir to pay tributes to Shaheed Junaid Mattoo, Shaheed Nasir Ahmad Wani, and Shaheed Adil Ahmad Mir. The delegations were led by district Pulwama Mohammad Amin Rather (Heff Shirmal), Ghulam Mohammad Gilkar (Khadwani), and Ghulam Rasool Rasool Nawaz. (KNS)
