Tral villages face power outages from last 3 days

Tral: A number of villages in Tral sub division of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district are facing electricity outages from last three days, locals said on Sunday.
Talking to INS, residents of Nagbal, Nagapathri, Mandoora, Panner, Machama, Ourigund, Kahlil, Chaan, Bagandar, Kangloora and adjoining villages of Tral said that they are facing immense problems due to curtalments.
A local resident Manzoor Ahmad from Tral told INS due to the curtailments, elderly and children are facing immense hardship.
He said that people from Shia community in particularly are facing inconvenience during the ongoing Muharram days.
The locals demanded immediate restoration of the electricity to mitigate the problems faced by them
When contacted, Assistant Executive Engineer, power development department Tral, Mohammad Maqbool Ahangar told INS that area was facing curtailment due to transformer damage in Chewa Ullar receiving station.
“The transformer has been shifted to Srinagar for repairing. We are trying our best to supply electricity to the affected areas from main grid station Tral via Pinglish feeder.”
