Nine years since inaugural, Ganderbal awaits promised bus stand

Ganderbal: In the year 2009 then Chief Minister Omer Abdullah demarcated a land for Bus stand in Ganderbal. Nine years have passed without any serious effort to establish the bus stand.

“During the inauguration ceremony an assurance was given to the people of Ganderbal district that the work of the bus stand will be started soon and will be completed within a shortest possible time.But nothing was done on ground, ” residents claim.

Locals allege that no attempt was made to develop the bus stand for the public interest.
“The process is going very slowly, in looks it will take decades together, ” they said.

DDC Ganderbal Dr Piyush singla said that pending work of the bus stand will be taken in hands as soon as funds from the government are released, ‘which is expected soon’.
