Post grenade attack, Forces lay siege over twin Sopore localities, clashes erupt, class work suspended

Sopore: Government forces have launched cordon and search operation in Batpora and Downtown locality of Sopore on Tuesday following a grenade attack on forces.

According to officials the twin localities have been sealed by forces including Jammu and Kashmir Police and Army.

Meanwhile clashes erupted in the Sopore main chowk between protesters and forces.

Following massive clashes class work in Degree college Sopore and boys, girls higher secondary school has been suspended.

Police used tear gas to disperse protesters however clashes were going on when this report was being filed.
