Concerned by ‘bad image’, Govt asks departments to updates website regularly

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered all departments to regularly update their websites which otherwise brings “bad image” about the functioning of the administration.

“Time and again, it was impressed upon that the websites of Government Departments be updated on regular basis. It has again come to the notice of authorities that official websites of various Government Departments is not being properly updated, thereby presenting a bad image of the Government and its functioning,” reads a circular issued here. “The Website updation is a recurring task, which needs to be looked alter regularly by the designated Officers/Officials of the Department.”

According the government asked all Administrative Secretaries of all the departments to personally monitor the updation of their Departmental Websites and ensure its strict compliance in a time bound manner.
