Donate towards TeH for carrying its mission: Geelani

Srinagar: Chairman Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH), Syed Ali Geelani on Thursday in his fervent appeal to the people and resourceful person of the society to donate towards Tehreek-e-Hurriyat for carrying its mission. Geelani said that Tehreek-e-Hurriyat has always pursued the noble mission of helping unprivileged and those in distress.
While appealing for charity donations for the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in the month of Ramadan, Syed Ali Geelani said that this is the month of patience, tolerance and sympathy and the Muslims all over the world donate generously in this month for their downtrodden brethren.
It is the month of charity and it creates a beautiful environment of helping each other, said Geelani.
Geelani said that the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir is on the forefront of the freedom struggle of Kashmir and besides it, this organization is active on other social fronts also. Social service is an important objective of this organization, said Geelani.
Syed Ali Geelani said that fasting teaches us a noble lesson and it is as such we feel the pain of those who are needy and unprivileged.
Since last seven decades the nation has presented unparalleled sacrifices and nourished movement with their blood. Thousands disappeared during forces custody and their families are in distress and looking for our help.
Geelani said that Tehreek-e-Hurriyat is pursuing freedom struggle and simultaneously running blood bank for poor and needy patients and helping people in times of disaster and natural calamity.
Syed Ali Geelani appealed people to donate generously their Zakat, Sadaqat and other donations for the help of those on priority help whose earnings have greatly been affected by the current wave of oppression, and disburse the donations accordingly.
Syed Ali Geelani said that Tehreek-e-Hurriyat is a cadre based party and its units are working across state and hence need generous help for day to day needs and expenditure. (KNS)
