Srinagar: Five militant are trapped in an ongoing gunfight between militants and government forces in Rafiabad area of north Kashmir.

Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid took to twitter saying: “Encounter going on in Dooniwari forest area of Police Station Dangiwacha Sopore, report of presence of 5 terrorists. Wish success to our boys.”

One para commando was injured in the gunfight raging in the upper reaches of Rafiabad forests.

The anti militancy operation is being jointly conducted by army’s 32 RR and 9 PARA commandos.
