Bar Association Anantnag protests against ‘attempts to scrap Article 35 A’

Anantnag:- District Bar Association Anantnag, Islamabad Tuesday held a protest rally from court premises up to Lal Chowk against ‘attempts to scrap Article 35 A’.

The protest was led by President Bar Association Anantnag Fayaz Sadogar and General Secretary Sheikh Irfan Gulzar, who said that any fiddling with  the article 35A will create ‘dire consequences and repercussions’.

“India was trying to keep people of Kashmir busy with many issues including Article 35-A,”Bar Association President Mr Fayaz Sadogar told to media He appealed to all regions of the state to come together against ‘sinister designs of Government to abrogate this Article’.

“People of the state must be educated about 35-A which does not allow non- locals to buy immovable property in J& K,” Sodagar said.
He warned that scrapping Article 35-A will have serious ramifications.
“By abrogating 35-A , they (India) want to infringe in our day to day lives which we won’t allow,” Sodagar said adding that they request to all citizens of the state, including traders and people in large to come forward and play a constructive role for saving it.

“India is trying to snatch all the opportunities from the citizens of valley,” he added
