Restrictions to thwart protests in Anantnag

Anantnag: To thwart possible protests restrictions have been  imposed in south Kashmir’s Anantnag town on Friday.

According to locals forces have been deployed in in Lal Chowk, Chini Chowk, Reshi Bazar and adjoining areas of the town and people were not allowed to come out of their homes.

They said that restrictions have been imposed to foil possible protests in the town after congregational prayers.

As per sources, heavy deployment has been put in place in all the sensitive areas of the town.

Two militants were killed in Mehman Mohalla area of Anantnag two days back during a gunfight with government forces.
