Forces conduct frisking, searches in Pampore

Awantipora: Following riffle decamping incident in the town, government forces conducted frisking and searches of vehicles on Wednesday in Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Reports said that forces set up naka at many places of Pampore, conducted searches of vehicles and frisked travelers besides drivers for whole day, after an SPO from police station decamped with a riffle yesterday evening.

Eyewitnesses told INS that, all vehicles, particularly two wheelers, were being stopped and properly searched particularly on main routes including highway.

An SPO had gone missing along with a service rifle from police Station Pampore area on Tuesday evening.

The SPO (Special Police Officer) has been identified as Irfan Ahmad Dar of Nihama, Kakpora, Pulwama, who was escorting the concerned SHO.
