Srinagar: ‘Save Dachigam Union’ members led by A Mir have appealed the higher authorities to look into the issues of ‘frauds’ being ‘committed’ by few officials.
Mir alleged that some of the officials in Dachigam have mismanaged funds allotted for carrying out development work in the National park.
He alleged that at least 40 casual laborers are working with “dedication” in the park but are not paid by the department.
He said that he has written a letter to the Union Forest and Environment minister to look into the issue. The union later urged the authorities to depute a team of “honest persons” for enquiring into the “frauds”. (KNS)
