Srinagar: People of Drabgam village of Pulwama alleged that government forces ransacked property and thrashed people during intervening night of June 19-20.
Locals alleged that Army entered the village and started vandalizing property without any provocation.
“They thrashed people especially youths, who ever came in their way was ruthlessly beaten,” they said adding ‘mayhem continued for almost two hours’.
The villagers claimed that the Army unit who attacked village were screaming: “You killed Aurangzeb, pelted stones on us, wont spare you”.
Locals said that army had come searching for Aurangzeb and during the search operation clashes broke out between protesting youth and government forces.
Pertinently Drabgam is a native village of slain militant commander Samir Ahmad Bhat aka Samir Tiger.
