3 JeM militants killed, in Tral gunfight

Srinagar: Three Jaish-e-Mohammad militants were killed and several CRPF and army soldiers were injured in a gunfight at Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.

A police officer said a joint team of army, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at Hyena village of Nazneenpora, Tral following specific information about the presence of militants.

As the joint team of forces fired some warning shots, the militants hiding inside the village opened fire which resulted into an encounter, he said. The forces used some bomb as a result of which house was completely destroyed.  All the three militants  hiding in the house got killed.
