Breakdown at Tangnar WSS, Water supply to uptown Srinagar affected

Srinagar: The water supply to many uptown areas of Srinagar have been affected due to breakdown of electric transformers at a pumping station of water supply scheme here.
According to the Executive Engineer Water Supply Master Plan Division Srinagar, due to breakdown of electric transformers at pumping station of water supply scheme Tangnar the supply of drinking water from 10 MGD water treatment plant Tangnar has got stopped.
The repair work has been taken in hand and is expected to be completed by the evening of Tuesday 12th of June 2018. The areas fed from this water supply scheme to be affected are Pantachowk, Pandrethan, Athwajan, Batawara, Indra-Nagar, Sonawar, Nowgam, Budshah Nagar, Natipora, Baghi Mehtab, Chanpora, Bye Pass Lasjan, Summerbugh, Kanipora, Kanihama, Dangarpora, Chattergam, Suthsoio, Suyan, Zawoora, Balhama, Khonmoh, Pampore (partly), Meaj, Baghander, Konibal and their adjoining areas.
In case of any emergency requirement of drinking water the department may be contacted on 0194-2477207, 2452047.
